BorgWarner EFR 9280 Turbo Brings Big Power Without Sacrificing Spool

The BorgWarner EFR 9280 is the Mack Daddy of the EFR family. This is the largest and highest-power-producing EFR turbo ever created. Proven in world class Time-Attack and back-to-back Formula Drift championships - the reputation of BorgWarner Turbo Systems is well-known, and the EFR 9280 is the turbo to get if you want responsive and fast spooling 1000+HP. The 9280 uses an aggressive trim with 73.7mm inducer and is intended for high-power race applications that will push a turbo to the limit.

This unique turbo uses the Black Series high-flowing 91mm compressor exducer with 73.7mm compressor inducer and the swallowing capacity of their 80mm turbine stage. Using the same 80mm Gamma-Ti turbine wheel from the EFR9180, this turbo spools early yet flows a whopping 110lbs/min of air at 117k RPM maximum shaft speed.
