A Passion Ignited: Logan's Journey with the GR86

Growing up, Logan was always fascinated by anything with an engine. This passion was fueled by countless hours spent on the family computer, exploring early YouTube content. Logan's interests gravitated towards car-related videos, including 90s ATTC Group A races, Fast and Furious movie clips, and World Rally Championship (WRC) events. These experiences laid the foundation for a lifelong love of cars.

Why the GR86?

Logan's early car ownership involved turbocharged vehicles, where he invested significant time and money chasing horsepower through bolt-ons, hybrid turbos, and motor builds. The turning point came when he picked up a Honda CRX. The sheer joy of driving a low-power naturally aspirated (N/A) car captivated him. When the GR86 was released, Logan decided to give it a shot. It turned out to be the best car he had ever owned, blending fun and practicality seamlessly.

Plans for the GR86

The ultimate goal for Logan's GR86 is to develop it into a well-balanced N/A time attack build with a strong emphasis on suspension and chassis setup. However, the current focus is on keeping the car simple and honing his driving skills. Modifications will be made progressively as he participates in more track days, ensuring the car evolves with his growing expertise.

Goals for Next Season

Next season, Logan aims to start competing in the TT4 class in NASA. He plans to fine-tune the setup to be competitive while ensuring the reliability of the Subaru engine. The objective is not just to compete but to push the car and himself to new performance heights.

Why Time Attack?

Logan is driven by a desire to challenge himself and make continuous improvements. Time attack offers the perfect platform for this, allowing him to push his limits on the track and strive for better lap times. The thrill of constant progress and the pursuit of personal bests make time attack immensely enjoyable for him.

Favorite Modification

Among the various modifications, Logan's favorite is the Racecomp Engineering (RCE) coilovers. He believes that tires, brakes, horsepower, and even the chassis are secondary if the car's suspension is lacking. The RCE coilovers provide the foundation for a balanced and responsive driving experience.
